A spacious 4BHK family home in Kottayam built to the highest standards — combining a contemporary elevation with a practical, family-friendly interior layout.
The clients wanted a home that would serve three generations comfortably, with generous bedroom sizes, a large kitchen, and an open living area that could accommodate extended family during festivals. The layout was designed around these principles from the very first sketch.
We used M25-grade concrete and Fe500 TMT steel throughout the structure, with AAC block infill walls for thermal insulation and weight reduction. The flat roof with a parapet was treated with two coats of STP waterproofing membrane and a brick bat coba finish for long-term performance in Kerala's heavy monsoon conditions.
The external elevation features a combination of textured and smooth plaster with a dual-tone paint scheme in warm grey and off-white. Granite cladding at the plinth level and aluminium-framed windows with mosquito mesh grilles complete a finish that is both elegant and practical.
